      Hello all,

I have written a software to display the live record data of the DS708 on my PC.
It can only display files that can also be shown with the playback function of the DS708.
Please check the user manual for recording/saving and playback feature and do NOT use the CD icon on the upper right corner of the screen.

As this might be of use for others a limited version can be found here.

    http://www.fware.de/pub/DEMO_DS708Helper.zip

Can be extracted where you like it, also on a USB stick.
Check the enclosed PDF for details.

For a quick overview here the features implemented.

    Main features of the application.

    • Display the saved live data recorded by an Autel DS708 and/or MD802 device on a Windows PC. May also support all MD... models but I have no device/data for testing.

    • Runs on Windows XP to Windows 7 (Windows 8 not yet tested)

    • Display the data in a table view

    • Playback feature within the table view.

    • Display up to 4 record fields a graphical view.

    • Playback feaure in the graphical view.

    • Cut and Paste option ot get recorded data into a spreadsheet or other applications.

    • No installation required, just unzip. Portable application. Can be stored on a USB stick.

    • Need a screen with 1400x1050 pixel for the graphical view with all 4 record fields.

    • Table view works fine on 1024x768 screen size.

    • On screens with less than 1050 pixel in height the graphical window automatically resizes and dispalys only 2 record field

    Limitations of the demo version

    • No playback of the numeric data in the table view.

    • Only 1working record field in the graphical view with playback feature.

    • No auto-resize for the graphical window. You get the full size ONLY.

    • Does not support the MD802 files.

     Hello all,

the Demo software is updated to the same level as the full featured version.
So all .dat files should open not correctly and files from older version / EOBD live data is also supported now.

I have also made the graph window small to display only two graphs, where the first one is only working.

I tried to open one of the .dat files with your program and get the following error:

File is not from a MaxiDas 708
    Reported ID string : ENV2.00
    C

This is file was made from a DS708.  Anything I can do to correct this?

Send me the file and I check as there might be more than only the header that has changed.

Email you find in my profile.

Which function was used to create the file ?

    Thanks

I also received the error "File is not from a MaxiDas 708", but the DAT file I was attempting to open was from a Autel MaxiDiag Elite MD802.

Being able to achieve viewing and analysis of Autel DAT files, even to the extent shown by the demo version of ds708helper.exe, would indeed make any of the Autel products very powerful.

I have separately submitted my MD802 DAT to fware in the hope that I can get to the next level of analysis with my MD802.
